Originally founded as the Department of Economics and Management in 2001, this School is currently the largest at the University. This discipline aims to train graduates with both academic knowledge in conjunction with industry-accepted practice to meet the high demand for suitably trained personnel. The courses are designed to meet the needs of all business sectors in Zhejiang Province, where the economy is booming as this province leads the country in the overall development of private business.

　　With hi-tech resources and quality teaching facilities that enable students to experience real life situations and simulations in electronic, commerce, logistics management, public relations, business negotiations, computerized and manual accounting the School offers the latest and most sophisticated education in these fields. Additionally, the School has established cooperative working relationships with many companies in order to carry out research and training.

In September 2008, the School will offer four year degree qualifications in Accounting and Internal Economics, and Trade Relations.
